Bayview Bearing & Supply is a California-based supplier of industrial motors, bearings, and maintenance services for a wide range of sectors. With decades of hands-on expertise and a commitment to “eliminating downtime,” Bayview has built its reputation on reliability and deep technical knowledge.


The Challenge

Although Bayview had extensive industry experience and loyal clients, their digital presence hadn’t kept pace with their capabilities. They lacked a modern website and infrastructure to support interactive tools or AI-driven customer service. Field techs and customers alike were relying on phone calls and PDFs to get answers, costing valuable time.


The AI Readiness Assessment

Through our consultative AI readiness assessment, we identified a need for strong digital foundations. Bayview couldn’t adopt scalable AI solutions until it had a flexible, modern platform to deploy them. Our plan prioritized creating a robust web platform as the launchpad for future AI integrations.


The Solution

We began by designing and deploying a new website using Wix Studio — a code-optional platform with full backend access, ideal for partners like us who need flexibility without compromising ease of use. This set the stage for deeper AI integration.

Next, we worked closely with Bayview on two powerful AI-driven calculators:


These tools let customers input motor type, usage frequency, and environmental factors to get accurate lubrication recommendations, improving self-service, reducing friction, and boosting order volumes.


In phase three, we developed a proprietary Error Lookup chatbot: a custom small language model (SLM) trained on tens of thousands of motor manuals. Users can enter a model number and error code to receive:

  • The exact meaning of the error

  • Repair instructions

  • A list of parts needed for on-site service


This tool saves service technicians hours per job, reduces miscommunication, and ensures teams arrive prepared, directly aligning with Bayview’s mission.
